This image shows a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder covered with a thermal insulation jacket or cover. This multi-layered insulation (usually made of foam and reflective materials) serves two main purposes: protecting the cylinder from direct solar heat in summer and preventing it from freezing in low winter temperatures. The primary goal of these covers is to ensure consistent performance of the gas cylinder by maintaining constant pressure of the liquid gas inside, as extremely low temperatures can cause pressure drops or even gas freezing. Using these insulating jackets is very useful and practical for people camping in cold regions, using outdoor heating appliances, or using LPG in caravans and boats.
